Well! Vacation's almost over... kinda looking forward to it. Wanna get back home x_X

So, what's up with the weather here anyway? It's perfectly fine if cloudy one second, and the next we get hit with the DOWNPOUR FROM HECK! It's kinda startling. And while we're at it, I'll never get used to the sun going down so late :p

Anyway! Got some more stuff. I found an Adventure! book, which was cool. And we finally managed to talk our dad into letting us buy God Of War (You can easily find PS2 copies in Colombia, but I wanted the original thing >-< 9), damn that's an expensive game.

Still trying to find more Exalted books, the Secret of Zir'an, and possibly Nobilis, but I don't expect to have much luck :p

Laters!

Also, budget is running out and I know that those books are expensive :/

In particular, I'm thinking of Secret of Zir'an, In Nomine, and maybe Unknown Armies.
SO! I'm back. FINALLY. SO! Here's the story:

We arrived at Miami well enough, and went to the hotel which was in Cocowalk. My mom didn't like it, so we ended up changing the next day and going to Aventura to stay there.

I can't give a day by day recount though, but I -can- give a list of the STUFF! I bought. I'll put it up in the end. Just to give you an idea, we had one bag over the permited limit per person (2 per person). We got THAT much stuff.

On the last day, we left the hotel, got to the airport 3 hours early, had to stand in line for OVER ONE FRIGGIN HOUR to get our bags checked, and immediately had to go to the gates. Blargh. The plane left about 45 minutes late, but we arrived home fast enough and there wasn't much trouble in the airport here. Then we arrived home, I logged in and talked to people (Hi!), and then fell dead on my bed until this morning. GOD I missed by bed.

So, anyway, THE LIST!

(I'm counting some of the stuff my brother got too, since I'll be using it >P)

BOOKS:
Exalted: The Lunars
Exalted: The Dragon Blooded
Exalted: The Abyssals
Exalted: Player's Guide
Exalted: Storyteller's Companion
d20 BESM

MANGA:
(you know, you -can't- find much manga here, and its twice as expensive to boot)
Azumanga Daioh 1-4 (All?)
Slayers Special
Ranma 1/2 5-10 (I have most of the first five in spanish. And then size of the first english manga throws stuff off wack. BAH!)
Yu-Gi-Oh 1 (guilty :P)
Saber Marionette J 1-2 (man, its -way- more perverted than the anime)
Bleach 1
One Piece 1
Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland (... I couldn't help myself -_-)

DVDs:
Invader Zim (woot)
Nuku Nuku TV 1
Airplane
Magnos (YAY OLD CHEAP ANIME WITH ROBOTS)

GAMES (hooboy)

GBA:
Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town
Metroid: Zero Mission
Shining Force

PS2:
Mark of Kri
Summoner 2
Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland

PC:
Icewind Dale 2
NWN: Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark
The Temple of Elemental Evil
Morrowind: Game of the Year edition
Knights of the Old Republic
The Vault of Darkness (5 games in one box, two of which I'm at least curious about. I'm weak -_-. Games are: Alice, Dungeon Keeper 2, Dracula: The last Sactuary, Dracula: Resurection, and Undying)
Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor (... cheap ._.)
Total Annihilation: Kingdoms and Seven Kingdoms 2 (... they were one dollar each!

Wee! Well, my stay in Philadelphia and surrounding cities has been somewhat less tiring than the first third and prolly the last one. So, lets see...

Thurday: We left Orlando (with the problems I believe I already mentioned) and came to Philadelphia. We had to rent an even bigger van because other people were coming with us, but there was a problem with that: they couldn't the keys. In compensation, they gave us an even BIGGER van. Wooot. There was a problem when a woman who worked there forgot to give my dad his license back, and we had to go and get it again.

Friday: I went to South street! I saw a store thaty made me drool, but I couldn't afford what I really wanted or it was too big to carry confortably in a bag... so I couldn't buy that 45$ Giant Robo figure. *Sob*

Saturday: We went to... King Of Prussia! BIG BIG MALL. Lots of shiny stuff too. Oooh.

Sunday: We went to Washington! Pretty long ride, but then we went to see the monuments and stuff... I do have to say, however, that its a shame the White House was closed off. Also, they were doing some repairs or something on the Capitol and it looked rather... bleh.

Monday: Went to another bigass mall. Oooooh. Shiny

Tuesday: Went to... New Yawk! We visited China Town (Its... like San Andresito in Bogota, really), and 5th avenue. DAMN was I tired at the end.

Wednesday: Today! Well, I went to some shops near South Street, and, late at night... we saw SPIDER MAN 2! YAY! About time too!

So! Tomorrow, Thursday, we'll be leaving for Miami, where I expect to go REALLY crazy with the SHOPPIN'. I don't think I'll be able to update from there until we get home late at night on the 22.

... oh yeah! Lets see, I got a PS2 Harvest Moon ganme (seaving the homeland), and... my brother found a used DVD of teh Nuku Nuku TV eps. MAN its spazzy.

... Oh! And I got my little cousin hooked on GIR from Invader Zim. Heehee.

First third vacation report!

OK! Let's see now. I do believe everybody knows that I'm currently on the States (natch) on vacation. This first third we spent in the area of Orlando and the Disney and Universal parks, so here's what happened so far:

First day: I COULDN'T SLEEP. GARGH. I only slept for, like, an hour before we had to leave for the airport. Things went fairly smootly there though. Whew. The flight was... bleh. There was supposed to be a movie on board and music you could hear, but none worked. And the chairs killed me. Blargh.

So, we arrived to Miami. So we go and get our rent car, make a stop in Circuit City to check out stuff (I bought Metroid Zero Mission there. Booya). We are, BTW, traveling with my uncle, whose rent van has a GPS. So we drop someplace else to drop my grandma there (who -also- came with us) and then leave to Kissemee (or however you spell it). However, its beggining to get late. SOMEHOW, we manage to miss our uncle and follow the wrong van. We proceed to get lost for the next hours while we find our way to the Turnpike. We arrive to our rent house (which is -TOO FAR AWAY-) at about midnight. And we arrive before our uncle does to boot!

Second day: We wake up late and decide to not go to any park, so we end going to to a few Outlets and stuff.

Third day: Island of Adventure! Pretty kickass, but GOD do my feet hurt.

Fourth day: Universal Studios! See above.

Fifth day: Too tired for parks. So we go to the Florida Mall. See above statement about feet. OTOH, I get Shining Force. My brother finds the Exalted Player's Guide and buys it. Woot. I guess. :P

... on, and I found an Invader Zim DVD, and then an old robot show (in a discount bin).

Sixth day: We go to Blizzard Beach, and leave fairly early. We arrive home, take a bath, relax and rest a bit, and then we go out again. Where?

Downtown Disney. CIRQUE DU SOLEIL. Oh my fuicking GOD did it rock. DVDs don't make it justice. There's usually so much stuff going at once that you don't know where to look! We left feeling, overall, very, very pleased.

Seventh day: We didn't do much besides some shopping. We were going to go to Epcot but didn't for some reason =/

Eight day: Departure day! We left the house early and left my uncle and family behind. The airport had a few problems with our bags being overweight, but... eh. We arrived to Philadelphia at around 1pm... and now we are here! We expect to go to NY and Washington for a day or so.

That's it for now!

Weee, so, I'm back, so I might as well point out a few things. I guess :P

I cannot standt the heat very well, but San Andres has wind most of the time, so it wasn't all that bad.

San Andres is small, you can take a trip around the island in one hour in a normal car. Maybe even less.

People in the island is laaazy... business are not open from 12 to 3pm for lunch. They usually close around 8pm.

There are bikes EVERYWHERE.

The color of the sea is purty. It has something like four different tones at times.

The trip back wasn't -too- bad. I kille dtiome playing KoF 2002, Metal Slug 4, and Pump It Up. We arrived to the airport at 9pm, and the plane left at 11pm. I killed time playing Golden Sun in the meanwhile.

The moon was -bright-, so we could see stuff below clearly enough during the trip. It was a nice sight. We killed time in the airplane playing word games :p

In the airport, we had to wait something like 10 minutes for the bags to even arrive. of course, it was 1am. Blah.

We got picked up by the friend with our car. Apparently, it has some sort of damage that means the cabin gets filled with carbon monoxide if the windows are -open-, curiously enough. Have to get thayt fixed.

Arrived home at... what, 2am? Logged in, said hi, went to bed after a while.

I -missed- my bed. Oi.

Natch.

We also got a huge plushie pink elephant thingie for my littlest cousin. Its cuddly.

So... dazzit. Its 5pm, and we'll be leaving in the plane at 11pm past. We'll be arriving back to Bogota at 1am or so. Blargh.

So, I'll see ya later tonite. Me? I got a plush turtle.

Remember that bigass turtle I mentioned before? ... Well, its not that one. Its a tiny little palm sized turtle plushie.

Its cuddly.

Turtle ^-^

Tomorrow promises to be a boring day. Chekout is at 1pm. Our flight is at 11pm or so. This leaves us with 9-10 hours of being in a tiny island without a hotel room. Fun.

... but, on the other hand: turtle ^-^

Ate ceviche (dunno how to call it in english), and drove with my family around the island.

Another interesting thing: I think everybody in San Andres can speak english, and many stuff and posts have the words in english instead of spanish.

I saw this HUGE turtle plushie I fell in love in, but its kinda out of our budget --;

... other than that, we... slept in the hotelroom a lot :P

Oh, and I miss my bed.
Ok, so, I got dragged to vacation with the family to the island of San Andres. This is a tiny island, in the caribean (if my geography doesn't suck), which is of Colombian nationality.

So: flight. Ok. around 1:30 hours. However, the sun hit our side of the plane and the damn wind-blower thingie didn't work right. Food was a sandwhich. Bleh.

Arrival. The San Andres airport is windowless and hot. Also, they somehow managed to leave around 40 bags behind in the trip... including one of ours. They said it would arrive at 10pm today. I certainly hope so >:/

San Andres is not a bad city. We arrived somewhat late in teh afternoon, so the sun wasn't too hot. Our hotel is -very- nice, and has its own private beach and stuff.

My dad came with the idea of renting a golf car (which double for "tourist cars" here, I guessto travel the island. Very good idea, actually. We don't have to walk about that much.

San Andres' shops are, BTW, -cheap-. Mom found a perfume at about half-prize of what is worth back in Bogota. Woo.

The golf car broke down twice. It apparently didn't like the idea of its lights being on. Luckily we had a phonenumber to call to.

And we return to the hotel. Among other reasons I think its cool, is because... I have some computer access here! Oh, and there's an small arcade with KoF 2002 and a DDRish game right outside, so its all cool.

Not a bad first day, all in all :P
